With the WMIC we can make enter the query baseboard to check motherboard stats and then follow by other entry to get more information about the motherboard some of the other entry get Manufacturer, Model, Name, PartNumber, Slotlayout, serialnumber, poweredon. But for the sake of the tutorial we are going to be checking for motherboard’s product, manufacturer, version, and serial number using WMIC.

To do this, open your command prompt in windows with either the run dialog by pressing this command WIN+R or with search in the start menu and enter cmd.exe, you don’t need to even run it as administrator but you can run as an administrator if you want. Enter the following command as show below.


wmic baseboard get product,Manufacturer,version,serialnumber





Checking Your Motherboard Model Number Using SpeccyIf you prefer a GUI-based way to check your PC motherboard model number, then you can make use of this known as speccy which was developed by Piriform. You can download this software here after downloading the software, then can view your motherboard model information instead of using the previous method, but the choice is now left for you to choose the one that suite you and will be more efficient for your task
